Faculty / Students

For many years, the History Department at the University of Florida has had significant strength in the study of the history of the American South, and its faculty, library holdings, and location all support that strength. For prospective graduate students, important considerations are the strength of the library and the support that we provide for our doctoral students. We believe that we provide both. One of our traditional strengths at UF has been a cluster of research interests and faculty support in the history of the American South. A large number of our faculty do work in southern history, in a variety of areas, using different approaches.
