Professor Angel Kwolek-Folland received her Ph.D. in 1987 in U.S. Women's History from the University of Minnesota. She joined the University of Florida department of history in 2000 after teaching at the University of Kansas for 13 years. She has published Engendering Business: Men and Women in the Corporate Office, 1870-1930 and Incorporating Women: A History of Women and Business in the United States, and recently taught "Global Sex Rights," "History of Sexuality," and "Women and Diversity in U.S. History." Her current research is on gender and international corporations.
Dr. Kwolek-Folland is the formerDirector of UF's Center for Women's Studies and Gender Research, and President of the South Eastern Women's Studies Association. She serves on the Editorial Board of American Studies, Business History Review, and Enterprise & Society, and the Advisory Board of the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery. She is currently an associate dean in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She also has been a faculty consultant for the College Board's Advanced Placement Examination since 1988.
