Angela Ellis received her BA in 1997 from Truman State University, her MA in 1999 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and will receive her PhD from UW-Madison in 2007 with her dissertation, “In Defense of yr Hen Ffydd (the Old Faith): Early Modern Catholics Negotiating Gender, National Identity, and Religion inthe Southern Anglo-Welsh Borderlands.” She specializes in the history of England and Wales in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. In 2002, she was awarded the North American Conference on British Studies Dissertation Year Fellowship. In 2007, she joined the University of Florida’s department of history as an adjunct instructor. Previously, she taught for two years at the University of New Mexico.
