Directions from the Gainesville Regional
Airport to Campus (weekend):
When you leave the airport, the exit road will dead-end into 39th Avenue
(Route 222). Turn right (west) and continue straight on 39th Avenue for 4
miles until you reach NW 13th Street (Route US 441). Turn left (south) on
NW 13th Street. After approximately 3 miles, you will pass University Avenue.
Continue on SW 13th street to SW 2nd Avenue. Where SW 2nd Avenue intersects
with SW 13th street, turn right (west) into the main entrance to the University
of Florida. You may drive through campus during the weekend without without
restriction.
Directions from the Gainesville Regional
Airport (during work week):
When you leave the Gainesville Regional airport, the exit road will dead-end
into 39th Avenue (Route 222). Turn right, (west) and continue straight on
39th Avenue for 4 miles until you reach NW 13th Street (Route US 441). Turn
left (south) on NW 13th Street. After approximately 3 miles, you will reach
University Avenue. Turn right (west) on University Avenue and drive for 4
blocks until you reach Buckman Drive (NW 17th Street). Turn left (south) on
Buckman Drive and stop at the University Police Stand. The traffic control
representative will give you a temporary parking permit which will enable
you to park for a short time (usually 2-3 hours) depending on the length of
your business. The representative stationed there will also be able to give
you directions to Keene-Flint Hall where the Department of History is located.

Directions from Orlando International Airport (approximately
100 miles):
Take the Florida Turnpike to I-75 North. Drive north on I-75 to exit 76 (SR
26, Newberry Road). Turn off at exit 76 and drive east on S.R. 26 which becomes
University Avenue. After traveling 6-7 miles you will enter the University
area. Continue to drive past the football stadium (on your right, south) and
several blocks later turn right (south) at the stoplight on Buckman Drive.
Here to your right you will see a traffic control attendant who will supply
you with a temporary parking permit and further directions to Keene-Flint
Hall.
Directions from Tampa International Airport
(130 miles):
Drive north on I-75 to exit 76 (SR 26, Newberry Road). Turn off at
exit 76 and drive east on S.R. 26 which becomes University Avenue. After traveling
6-7 miles you will enter the University area, continue to drive past the football
stadium (on your right, south) and several blocks later turn right at the
stoplight into the University area at Buckman Drive. Here to your right you
will see a traffic control attendant who will supply you with a temporary
parking permit and further directions to Keene-Flint Hall.
Directions from Jacksonville International Airport ():
Campus Parking
Like most campuses, traffic is congested at the University of Florida
and parking is difficult. If possible, try to arrive early in the day to obtain
a temporary parking permit. If you plan to stay at a hotel, it is best to
choose a location close to the university and walk to campus.

Keene-Flint Hall, which faces West University Avenue immediately west of Library
